Beverly Beach State Park near Newport, Oregon
Beverly Beach State Park boasts one of Oregon’s largest creekside campgrounds, situated in a forest between Cape Foulweather and Yaquina Head. Some campsites and the park’s day-use area sit mere footsteps away from miles of ocean beach that extends from Yaquina Head to Otter Rock. The park is central to excellent whale watching viewpoints, tidepools swarming with sea life, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, as well as Newport shops and restaurants.
The campground, a few steps from the ocean, is forest-sheltered and situated along pebbly Spencer Creek. It features wind-sculpted trees surrounding the campsites, a Welcome Center selling firewood and souvenirs near registration, a playground next to the program area, and day-use picnic and meeting areas.
